beginning to end

the final typographic mark represents me in the idea that you have to spend time with it to realize what the image actually is. so in that since you also have to spend quite a bit of time with me to actually know who I am and my true personality, around most people I can be reserved but around people that I am comfortable with I am pretty ridiculous. when initially sketching out ideas this concept of using the negative space was the last idea that I came up with. it went through many slight changes before reaching this final composition. at first glance it doesn’t look like anything typographic it just looks graphic but after staring at it the horizontal bars help bring your eye to the conclusion of it being a B and D. I think it’s a logo that captures attention and leaves plenty of room for growth in the design.
